Libraries are now using this Web 2.0 technology to collaborate and share knowledge. Among their applications are subject guide wikis, book review wikis, conference wikis and even library best practices wikis.

This weeks challenge is to learn more about wikis and how they could be used in your library:
1. Read Using Wikis to Create Online Communities – a good overview of what a wiki is and how it can be used in libraries.
2. Take a look at some library wikis. Here's some examples:
LIANZA's ITSIG Wiki
Bull Run Library's Wiki
Unitec's Wiki with their overview on blogs and wikis.
St Joseph Count Public Library's subject guide Wiki
2. Create a blog post about your findings. Include what you found interesting. Is there a purpose for which our library could use wikis? How do you envisage this could work?
